| . . Question : If I were to ask you what is the one thing you would need to change to improve your body composition and/or your fitness level, what do you think the answer would be ? Answer : Your mind or your way or thinking. That's right it starts at the top. Hi. My name is Dale Srebniak and I am a Personal Trainer here in Townsville, North Queensland. The above answer is your first step to reaching your goal and it's the reason why most people fail to lose weight or to reach a fitness level for a better and healthier lifestyle. The mind and your way of thinking can defeat you even before you start. You're not worthy ... your lazy ... you won't stick with it. Well guess what? I am here to tell that you are worthy, you are not lazy and you will succeed. You see I have already changed your mind and now you have made a conscious decision to do something about it. Ladies, I know what you are thinking - "I don't want big muscles" - well this is one of the myths of bodybuilding that's been going around since the beginning of time. I will go into this in more detail later but it's the reps and sets and the time we take to complete them that dictates our body composition. eg. widening the shoulders will make your waist seem smaller. Gaining Muscle is the secret to getting off the fat and for it to stay off. The greater the lean muscle the greater the resting heart rate which means the faster the Metabolism. Did you know that 75% of people who go on those "shakes for fat loss" diets regain the weight plus more. Here is why: the first 10 or more kilos are fluid ,fat and muscle loss. Eventually they have to go back to eating real food and that's when the problem begins. Their metabolism has stalled and the food they eat is put straight in to storage(Fat).The loss of muscle means the resting heart rate is lower. Trust me there is no substitute for real food.
